Golf course trump for Punta Cana resort

01/04/2008

US entrepreneur and TV personality Donald Trump announced plans to build a new hotel and golf courses at his luxury resort in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic, this week.

The real-estate developer revealed his plans to build a new condo hotel, a beach club and world-class golf courses at Cap Cana.

Donald said: "Cap Cana is one of the most wonderful places in the world, known world wide for its highest level of luxury and exclusivity – with beautiful natural surroundings as well as a solid plan for its development."

He emphasised the Dominican Republic's good climate and economic stability as reasons to invest in the nation.

One of the leading international golf course design companies, Hanse Golf Course Design, has been contracted to develop the new golf courses.

Both sites, called Farallón and Dolinas, are located above sea level and the firm says they will rank amongst the world's best courses.
