Dubai "is a burgeoning holiday hotspot"

13/08/2008

Dubai has been tipped as a burgeoning holiday hotspot by one travel expert.

Jo Sinnott the presenter of Real Estate TV's Next Big Thing, says that Brits are increasingly travelling to United Arab Emirates and are enticed by its extensive choice of accommodation.

She explains: "Dubai [is] still an incredible place ... with ever increasing numbers of companies and individuals doing business here."

The TV presenter noted that Dubai is perfect for a city break and suggests visiting it in combination with another destination in Asia.

Developing resorts such as Ras Al-Khaimah and Ajman are perfect for coupling with a trip to Dubai, Ms Sinnott says.

The Lonely Planet travel guide describes Dubai as a city which is renowned for its "sand, sun and shopping" and has a "flashy, fun and slightly surreal" atmosphere.

It adds that the city has transformed from a tranquil Persian town to a metropolis with sky scrapers reaching for the heavens and artificial islands.
