- Insurance must start no earlier than 17 May 2020.
- If you need to change the dates of your trip, we can move your single trip insurance to any date before the end of 2021, with no admin charge.
Please note, our policies do not provide cover for cancellation, abandonment or curtailment claims if the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises against all or “all but essential” travel. Our policies will also not cover any claims caused by or relating to Coronavirus, COVID-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-COV-2), any mutation of Coronavirus, COVID-19 or SARs-COV-2 or any pandemic or fear or threat of any the above. This general exclusion applies to all sections of cover except for the Emergency Medical Expenses section.
Important: Our policies will not provide any cover whilst the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) are advising against travel. Buy a policy now to get instant cover once the travel ban is lifted.

Flight insurance - Scheduled airline failure
When you book the individual elements of your holiday, such as flights and accommodation, directly with the end supplier, you don't automatically get the same level of financial protection as you would if you booked a package holiday through a tour operator or travel agent. This is when having Scheduled Airline Failure cover as part of your travel insurance becomes important.
If you have booked parts of your holiday directly with the end supplier, or booked a flight direct with an airline, it is important to make sure that you have flight insurance or Scheduled Airline Failure to cover you if your airline or other holiday supplier becomes insolvent.
Our Scheduled Airline Failure cover is designed to offer appropriate travel insurance cover to holiday makers who prefer to book their holidays directly with the end supplier, rather than booking a package.

- Scheduled airline failure up to £1,500
If the insolvency occurs before departure:
Cover is provided for irrecoverable sums lost as a result of the insolvency or financial failure of a travel or accommodation end supplier, with whom you had made a booking and paid in advance, for elements of your holiday which don't form part of a holiday package.
If the insolvency occurs after departure:
Cover is provided for additional pro rata costs incurred in replacing that part of the travel arrangements to a similar standard to that originally booked or if curtailment of the holiday is unavoidable - the cost of return transportation to the United Kingdom to a similar standard to that originally booked.
