Travel firm launches "biggest sale for a century" but holiday insurance costs extra

08/06/2009

Long-haul operator Kuoni has knocked more than a third off the cost of some of its packages in what it claims is the biggest sale since it launched more than 100 years ago, but clients looking to save money on their holiday insurance will find it cheaper elsewhere.

The operator says it is offering up to 35% off summer holidays, with a further 5% off beach bookings made online.

Included in its special offers are a 7-night, all-inclusive package to Malaysia for £1,170pp, a saving of £360 plus 3 free nights; 7 nights all-inclusive in Sri Lanka for £499, a saving of £321; and 7-nights all-inclusive in Antigua for £1,459, a saving of £1,075.

Prices are updated daily on the operator's website, www.kuoni.co.uk.

In addition to this summer's offers, Kuoni has discounts and special offers to entice customers to book early for 2010. EarlyBird Saver offers include free room upgrades, spa treatments and free nights accommodation.

One of its cheapest holidays for next year is 7-nights bed and breakfast in the Thai resort of Koh Samui, costing from £915pp, which is a saving of up to £328 per couple.
