18/10/2009

Ready to book your 2010 summer holiday yet? Well wait until you've read which destinations holiday bosses think are going to be hot next year.

France specialist VFB reckons Brittany will be top of the French destinations next summer because a lack of demand for the past two years has forced prices to tumble.

A week-long summer holiday in a renovated farmhouse will cost from £359 with VFB Holidays (www.vfbholidays.co.uk) based on four people sharing and travelling by ferry.

For the more adventurous summer holidaymaker, Nicaragua is predicted to be The Next Big Latin American holiday hotspot.

The number of holidaymakers has been climbing steadily and a number of new hotel openings are set to make the destination even more popular. New this year is the swish all-suite Contempo hotel on Yankee Beach.

Tailormade Explore (www.tailormadeexplore.co.uk) sells 16-day small group summer holidays from £1,711 including flights, accommodation, some meals and guiding.

In the past Sri Lanka has not attracted as many holidaymakers as it deserved due to the civil unrest that blighted the country, but following the end of the conflict many more are expected to flock to its beach resorts next summer.

For something a little different, visit the Yala National Park where you can spot leopards, elephants, crocodiles and other wild animals. A 15-day holiday costs from £2,285 with Real Holidays (www.indiaportfolio.co.uk) including flights and accommodation.

Papua New Guinea has come from under the holiday radar following the TV series 'Lost Land of the Volcano' and Bhutan, where visitor numbers are heavily restricted by the government, south-eastern Sicily and northern Peru are all expected to attract more holidaymakers from the UK this year.
