Palin to talk travel at charity event

14/11/2007

Monty Python legend-turned-TV traveller Michael Palin will be regaling fans with anecdotes from his journeys around the world at a special charity event later this month.

The event, proceeds from which will go to Leukemia Research, will see Palin in conversation with BBC Arts guru Alan Yentob.

An Audience with Michael Palin takes place on November 28th at the Criterion Theate in London's West End, with tickets priced at £50.

Kate White, director of fundraising at Leukemia Research, said: "We are delighted that Michael has agreed to take part in this event to raise money for Leukaemia Research, especially after the success of last year's Audience with Mel Brooks.

"Michael is bound to provide an evening of entertaining and comic anecdotes and is keen to help raise funds for the charity."

New Europe, Palin's new series, details his travels around newly acceded EU countries in Eastern Europe.
