Heathrow capsule hotel to open next month

27/11/2007

Passengers travelling via Heathrow next month will be able to experience a Japanese-style capsule hotel, it has been confirmed.

Based at Terminal 4, visitors to Yotel will be able to access the internet through wireless broadband connections or enjoy films and music in the form of the techno-wall.

Rooms start at £25 and can be taken for just a few hours or for an overnight stay.

Yotel chief executive Gerard Greene told Travelbite: "Following the exceptional success of our Gatwick opening with phenomenal occupancy levels, Yotel Heathrow will offer more passengers the chance to experience a little bit of luxury and relaxation right inside the world's busiest airport."

A third branch of the Yotel chain is planned for Amsterdam Schipol Airport, Mr Greene added.

Yotel is the brainchild of Yo! Sushi founder Simon Woodroffe, who opened the first branch at Gatwick Airport in June this year.
