Easyjet adds new flight routes

10/12/2007

No-frills carrier Easyjet has announced six new flight routes to European destinations to begin next year.

The new routes are to France, Italy, Croatia and Portugal and will commence in spring 2008.

Flights to the Cote d'Azur city of Nice will begin April 24th, just after the inaugural flights to the same destination from Glasgow and Nice start on April 22nd.

Meanwhile, flights to Pisa will begin on March 30th from Luton, while flights to Biarritz, Olbia and Split from Bristol will begin on April 26th.

David Osbourne, general manager at Easyjet, said: "EasyJet will launch 18 new routes over the next few months from our bases across the UK and we will shortly announce further expansion, reinforcing our position as the UK's largest airline."

News of the new routes comes as Easyjet this week announced it has seen a 13 per cent increase in passengers in November.
