Brits are best at finding budget travel insurance policies, a new piece of research has revealed.
travel reviews website TripAdvisor surveyed around 4 000 globetrotters worldwide and found that Brits were ten per cent more likely to get a better deal than their holidaying counterparts from other nations.
OnlyFinance.com reports that 90 per cent of UK holidaymakers will reject the first travel insurance quote they are given, determined to find the best bargain.
The survey also revealed that annual multi-trip policies are becoming increasingly popular with 69 per cent of those Brits polled opting for this kind of cover.
Worldwide, however, only 40 per cent of travellers are considering ditching single-trip insurance.
Earlier this month, the Fair Investment Company reported that research conducted by Sainsbury's travel Insurance revealed that many Brits are considering boycotting travel insurance altogether this summer as they try to save their pennies.
The research found that 2.5 million holidaymakers say they are unable to afford to go abroad and buy travel insurance.
