Tourists can now visit Chernobyl
A 30-mile exclusion zone encircles the site of world’s worst nuclear explosion. In 1986, a nuclear reactor exploded in Chernobyl, sending a radioactive cloud up into the sky. Thousands of people were forced to evacuate their homes.

All beaches reopened after shark attacks in Sharm el Sheik
The shark attacks that left an elderly German woman dead in Sharm el Sheik have created a black cloud over the popular Red Sea Resort. Three other tourists were injured in shark attacks, which rarely occur in Sharm el Sheik. An investigation is underway to try to determine why the shark attacks happened.

Shark attack puts people off taking a holiday in Sharm el Sheik
Shark attacks caused underwater chaos last week for tourists on holiday in Sharm el Sheik. All diving and snorkelling activities were suspended. Diving enthusiasts flock to Sharm el Sheik, so the decision to cancel trips had an impact on many tourists in the area. Certain dive sites were opened yesterday, but they can only be visited if divers have booked their trip through a Chamber of Diving and Water Sports (CDWS) operator.

Two sharks caught in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheik
When four tourists in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheik were injured by a white tip shark, water sports were put on hold and a hunt for the marine predator ensued. Three Russians and a Ukrainian were injured in the attacks, which happened on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Shark attacks tourists in Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheik
A white tip shark is on the loose around the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheik. The shark has already injured four tourists on holiday in Sharm el Sheik in separate attacks. One of the injured tourists was in a critical condition and had to be sent to a hospital in Cairo for treatment.

Thomas Cook forced to axe hundreds of jobs
Hundreds of people have lost their jobs at Thomas Cook headquarters in the UK due to the economic downturn and the effects of the volcanic ash cloud earlier this year. 126 people that have lost their jobs were in management roles.
