- Go on holiday to a country that doesn't have a team in the World Cup
- Don't travel to destinations or tourist resorts that are popular with Brits and Europeans that are football mad
- Find out what time the matches are on even if you don't want to see them, so you know when to avoid the local bars!
- Go on holiday to a remote area where there's no sign of TVs
- Stay in a small hotel that doesn't have a bar attached to it, or better still, go camping!
- Speak to the locals to find out which bars and restaurants won't be showing the World Cup matches
- Go on an expedition such as climbing Kilimanjaro or hiking the Inca Trail
- Hire a boat and go sailing
- Visit popular attractions such as monuments or theme parks on match days - they won't be showing the football and they're bound to be less busy than they normally would be
