Take it easy on Virgin Atlantic flights

14/01/2008

Virgin Atlantic passengers are launching a new service to take the stress and strain out of air travel.

The new service, dubbed Total Relaxation, is described as 30-minute experience and combines soothing audio effects with the very latest visual effects.

Customers can choose between different experiences depending on just how relaxed they want to be, with options including son et lumiere shows to induce sleep or even to overcome anxiety and fear over flying.

Michael Taylor, from Virgin Atlantic's In-Flight Entertainment Department, said: "During their actual journey, passengers are able to sit back and enjoy a 'meditative' journey that's guaranteed to leave them feeling relaxed, refreshed and uplifted."

The service will be provided by Meditainment.com, which has worked with Virgin since 2004.

Richard Lath of Meditainment said: "Long-haul flights can be challenging for some travellers, especially if sleep proves difficult. By watching the Total Relaxation movie, passengers enter a state of pure bliss."
