Say I do to free wedding packages
A luxury Caribbean resort is offering couples free weddings when they stay for at least 10 nights.
With the cost of the average wedding in the UK topping £20,000, it's certainly something to think about when you consider that getting hitched abroad is a wedding and honeymoon rolled into one.
Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort in Saint Lucia is offering couples the choice of a scenic beach or garden ceremony, a marriage licence, certificate and registrar fees, a taxi to the lawyers office to deal with all the red tape, bouquet for the bride, button hole for the groom, table arrangement at the wedding venue, chilled sparkling wine, wedding cake, scented candles and a continental wedding breakfast in the villa the day after the ceremony.
The free wedding package is worth £700. Family or friends wishing to join the couple will receive a 20 per cent discount off food and accommodation as Sun Dollars, which are resort credits to spend on services at the resort including spa treatments, excursions and upgrades, up to £225 a week.
Caribtours offers 10 nights at Windjammer starting from £2,189 per person staying in a one bedroom villa on an all inclusive package. Price includes return scheduled flights and transfers.
Also included is a 20 per cent discount on all luxury spa treatments, 20 per cent off all meal supplements and 20 per cent off a sunset cruise or day sail excursion. In addition, each couple will receive $350 resort credit per week.
