Manchester Airport launches valet parking

22/01/2008

A new VIP valet parking service has been launched at Manchester Airport terminals one and three.

The service allows customers to leave their car with staff at a VIP enclosure outside terminal one before going on holiday.

The parking service will cost about £7 a day and parking for a week costs less than the average taxi fare to the airport - £66.

Last week Manchester Airport was named as the UK's best regional airport by travel Weekly Awards.

The airport saw over 22 million passengers pass through it last year and it is the largest British-owned airport operator.

Commenting on the achievement, Andrew Cornish, managing director of the airport, said: "We are very pleased and proud to have been presented with this award.

"We pride ourselves on giving the passengers the very best possible experience and it is great to see that the industry recognises that hard work and commitment."

Among the reasons for winning were the way the airport dealt with the security measures and their customer service.
