Holiday Travel Show starts this weekend

11/01/2008

Every kind of travel enthusiast from backpackers looking a budget break to older holidaymakers looking to take a luxurious cruise will be able to glean ideas for their next trip at the annual Holiday and Travel Show.

Opening this weekend, the tourism industry expo will this year feature 800 exhibitors from across the travel sector representing over 100 countries.

As well as tour operators, visitors will be able to consult tourist boards, travel agents and airlines to pick up ideas and useful advice for their next trip, while the organisers promise a "packed programme of fun activities to ensure a great day out for the family".

The event is now in its 15 year and attracted over 120,000 attendees for the 2006 show.

Entry is £8 for adults, £6 for concessions and is free to under-15s.

The show runs from January 11th to 13th at Manchester Central before relocating to Glasgow SECC for a brief stint from January 18th-20th.
