Goldtrail crisis centre opens for people on holiday in Turkey

Goldtrail Travel Ltd went into administration on Friday, leaving thousands of UK holidaymakers in a sticky spot. Brits that are already on holiday in Turkey after booking with Goldtrail have experienced major disruptions to their holidays. Some hoteliers have been demanding payment from guests that have insisted they have already paid for their holiday in Turkey through Goldtrail. Visitors have even been threatened with a visit from the police.

The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism has stepped up to help holidaymakers that are suffering the effects of the Goldtrail collapse. The Government of Mugla in Turkey has set up a crisis centre to advise travellers about accommodation and flights in order to limit the disruption to their holidays.

Information centres have also been set up at airports in Turkey to advise travellers about any changes that have been made to their flights home. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is also helping to ensure that all flights from Turkey go ahead as planned.

Goldtrail Travel Ltd went into administration after the company continued to go downhill. All flights out of the UK that were booked through Goldtrail have been cancelled and thousands of British holidaymakers were affected. Goldtrail Travel Ltd specialised in providing cheap package holidays to Greece and Turkey.
