Britain's most remote pub short-listed for tourism award

Mainland Britain's most out-of-the-way pub is in the running for a tourism prize, it has been reported.
The Old Forge, which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most remote pub in Britain, is unlikely to be reached by only the most committed of backpackers or hikers.
Nonetheless, it has today been nominated in the category of best visitor experience at the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards, BBC Online reports.
Owners Ian and Jackie Robertson will be told if they have won the prize at the ceremony on Friday.
The pub is located in Inverie on the Knoydart Peninsula and can only be reached through an 18-mile walking trip or by a seven-mile sea crossing.
Other nominees in the category of best visitor experience were the Jacobite boat tour of Loch Ness and the Speyside Heather Garden.
