Beatles hotel opens and fans flood in

08/02/2008

A Beatles themed hotel has opened in Liverpool and is already proving a hit, according to sources.

The Hard Days Night Hotel is set near the famous Cavern Club and celebrates the life and works of the Fab Four.

It has 110 standard rooms, two luxury themed suites and even a wedding chapel for fans to tie the knot in.

Johnny Lockwood, a spokesman for the hotel, said that bookings have already been flooding in.

"The phones haven't stopped ringing. Interest has come as far afield as Croatia, Russia, Japan, obviously America and there's been huge interest from Brazil even."

One of the suites is Lennon themed, with everything being white, including the baby grand piano and the room being adorned with large pictures of the star.

The other suite, the McCartney room, has no leather in it to honour his vegetarian status; it also has a suit of armour, referring to Sir McCartney's knighthood.

With a four star rating, the hotel costs around £170 for a night, with customers paying £650 to spend a night in the suite.
